Sometimes life hands you a bucket of lemons - You're comfortable in your daily routine and just going about everyday activities, and then you get a text that you're husband is being air lifted off of a barge in the Gulf of Mexico.
Luckily his injuries weren't life-threatening; however, they certainly were life changing.
As in, our mostly steady source of income was gone. Our unpredictable way of life was gone. Our whole reason for even moving to the Gulf Coast was gone.
Four years after jumping feet first into the world of commercial diving, we are paring down our possessions and about to embark on a journey in a 35ft motor home we have lovingly named Matilda.
We are diligently working on making her livable for our family of 6, turning our bucket of lemons into a (Scary!) 225 sq ft of living space - A space we're designing to accommodate our family of 2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 tween, 2 littles and a dog.
Looking forward to keeping up with the posts on this blog. You guys are in for a wonderful adventure. Best of wishes for lots of learning, excitement, adventure, and lemonade!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brooke! We are very excited about the adventures ahead of us, and can't wait to share them along the way (:

ReplyDeleteHi Johhny! He's ok now but that was certainly a scary text to get.. I'll pass your message along, thank you :)
DeleteCan't wait to read all about your adventures! As you know, we traveled with two adults, two kids and one 100 lb. dog in a 40 ft. motorhome for a whole year. I never missed my stuff or my space. It was the adventure of a lifetime and I'm so glad we did it. Good for you for having the guts to do it!!!
